Bat Attack Sends Rochester Teenager to the Hospital

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Rochester police arrested two teenagers Thursday as suspects in an assault that sent one person to the hospital.

Police Captain John Sherwin says officers were called to the 1900 block of 8 ½ St. SE around 7:30 p.m. to check a report of a group of females fighting in a parking lot. The caller also reported windows on a vehicle were being smashed by someone who had a baseball bat. Officers arrived to find an empty parking lot but were later contacted by two female teenagers, ages 17 and 19. The older teen said she had been hit over the head with a bat and was treated at Olmsted Medical Center. The younger teen had also been assaulted but did not seek medical attention.

Sherwin says officers were able to identify three suspects. Two of them were later arrested in Oronoco. One has been identified as 18-year-old Aaliyah Angel Moss. The other suspect is 17-years-old. A third suspect was still being sought at last check.
