Free & Discounted Treats In Minnesota For National Donut Day

It is finally time for one of my favorite holidays in the world...National Donut Day! This isn't your average "holiday" though, it's actually a way to say thanks to veterans. And if you haven't heard yet, there are some freebies and great deals you can snag throughout the United States, including in Minnesota.

How Did National Donut Day Become a Tradition in the United States?

Way back in World War I, the Salvation Army served up donuts to American soldiers on the front lines.  "Donut Lassies" was the nickname given to the women from The Salvation Army who served up smiles (and donuts!) to our troops. 🇺🇸. Basically, National Donut Day is a delicious way to show some love to our veterans.

Now that I've been chatting about donuts for a bit, here is where you can go on Friday, June 7th, 2024, for a great deal.  A few below are even free!

Casey’s

• Casey's is celebrating National Doughnut Day (yes, it's a thing!) by hooking up their rewards members with a FREE donut at any store.  If you're feeling extra hungry, you can snag a half dozen for just $4.99 from June 7th to 16th.

Duck Donuts

• Stop in a Duck Donuts store and you can take home a free cinnamon sugar doughnut on June 7.

Dunkin’

• You'll have to hurry for this one because it is only while supplies last.  But, stop in at a Dunkin' on June 7th and get a classic doughnut when you buy any beverage.

Kwik Trip

• This deal showed up in my inbox - you'll need to add this to your Kwik Rewards app to make it happen but it is well worth it!  On June 7th, you can get a free Long John Donut from the bakery case.

Krispy Kreme

• I'm well aware that Minnesota doesn't have a Krispy Kreme but our friends in Iowa and Illinois do, so, if I wanted to pass this along since many of my fans live in those states.  Stop in at Krispy Kreme on June 7th and you can get a free donut of your choice (well, almost, you can't get one of the limited-edition varieties).  And yes, this is free.

Paris Baguette

• Rewards members at Paris Baguette can earn triple points on any doughnut purchase.

Taco John’s

• This is one I did not expect.  Taco John's will be offering free Mexican doughnut bites with any purchase in-app or in-store.  Just enroll and download their app by June 6th in order to get the deal.
