It's clean-up time now in North Dakota as law enforcement officials clear out the area that's been occupied for the past seven months by those who had protesting the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline.

It certainly seems ironic that, in their intention to save the area from potential pollution, they left the site a complete mess.

The Associated Press says most of the campers marched out of the camp before a departure deadline set by the Army Corps of Engineers. There are around 50 or so who still remain.

Construction on the pipeline through the area will get underway soon and reportedly be completed by this summer.
