You know those moments in life where you just have to pause and take it all in?  Friday, September 9th, I had one of those moments.  I was emceeing an event for women, and in between a few songs that were being sung by a women's choir, a few of the members openly shared about the moment they hit rock bottom. That was my moment.

Women Openly Share About Their Struggle With Addiction and How a Minnesota Organization Helped Them Find Freedom

If you've watched someone struggle with addiction, you know the toll that it takes on a family.  I've heard multiple stories from women in Minnesota who lost it all - their home, job, and their relationship with their kids because addiction took over.  Some women have spent time in jail or prison, and sometimes, that is when the bottom was hit.

I remember sitting in a room and just listening.  As tears were falling throughout the room as the stories of defeat and addiction were shared and the moments of their rock bottom, these women all mentioned a specific place in Rochester that helped them recover.
