KidsFit Program by Hy-Vee Now Available For Free for Minnesota and Iowa Kids
Companies are stepping up in big ways and helping individuals and families that are now experiencing social distancing due to the coronavirus. Hy-Vee is the latest that is joining the cause and will now be providing a free program for kids online called KidsFit.
The Hy-Vee KidsFit program is all about keeping kids active and to help provide some structure to their day while they are staying at home. The free program will provide fun physical activities for kids and families each day and will be streamed online each day at 9:00 am. Each video will be about 15 to 20 minutes long. The videos can be found here: Hy-Vee KidsFit Videos
“As this pandemic continues to limit and affect our everyday lives, Hy-Vee remains committed to making our customers’ lives easier, healthier and happier. We hope these videos will provide a productive outlet for children and families during this time, while also promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles within their homes.” - Dira Driftmier, Hy-Vee Certified Personal Trainer and Youth Fitness Specialist
This isn't a new program for Hy-Vee or families. According to a press release from Hy-Vee, KidsFit has been helping kids and families since 2015 and more than 404,000 kids have been enjoying the program the last five years.
