Early on Tuesday, March 18th, a horrific tragedy at a Kwik Trip store in our state was shared on multiple Minnesota news sites. A few hours ago, the CEO of Kwik Trip shared some heartbreaking words and updates about this tragic event.
Kwik Trip CEO Speaks Out Publicly About Fatal Stabbing at Minnesota Store
This morning when I was getting up to speed on the latest news in our state, I saw the devasting story about the fatal stabbing at a Kwik Trip store.
According to KROCnews.com, a 34-year-old Kwik Trip employee named Dennis Vosika, died on Tuesday morning of multiple stab wounds at the Kwik Trip store in the 1500 block of Madison Avenue in Mankato, Minnesota. According to the Mankato Department of Public Safety, the incident happened around 3:00 am.

This heartbreaking tragedy in Mankato, Minnesota has hit this community hard, with many remembering Dennis as someone who always had a smile. According to The Free Press of Mankato MN Facebook page, Dennis' girlfriend will "remember him for his resilience, positive attitude and contagious smile".
The CEO of Kwik Trip, Scott Zietlow, also addressed this event in a recent social media post:
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I write to inform you of an unimaginable tragedy that occurred at Store 344 in Mankota, MN early this morning. One of our coworkers was tragically stabbed and killed while on duty. This is a devastating loss for all of us, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. As a company, we are fully committed to supporting our coworkers through this painful ordeal. The suspect is in police custody, and we are working closely with law enforcement authorities to understand what happened. At Kwik Trip, the safety and well-being of our coworkers are our top priorities. We are committed to maintaining a secure and supportive workplace for all coworkers. We want to make sure that everyone feels safe and supported during this challenging time. We will get through this as a community, leaning on each other for strength and support.
