Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to revisit a plan that would result in a  major change to the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.

The item is on the commission’s agenda for Wednesday night’s meeting.

The proposal calls for developing 3 ½ acres of the center to accommodate a grocery store, restaurant and other commercial space, along with a multi-family housing project containing 107 units. The developer says the first phase of the project could begin this year and include the southerly third of the shopping center.

The commission reviewed the proposal at its meeting two weeks ago but did not take a vote because of new information it received.

Wednesday’s meeting will be held at City Hall, beginning at 6 p.m.
