Popular Orvis Store Closing 30+ Stores Throughout The United States

Founded in 1856, Orvis became well-known thanks to its amazing fly-fishing equipment.  Throughout its existence, it gained a reputation for other products, including outdoor apparel, footwear, dog products, luggage, travel goods, as well as home and gift items.  According to USA Today, sadly, it sounds like its footprint is decreasing in the United States.

Based on the latest announcement, 31 out of 70 Orvis stores and five outlets will be closing by early 2026.  Simon Perkins, president of Orvis, told USA Today that the reason for the closures was due to "an unprecedented tariff landscape."

There is a bit of good news with this change - the company will focus more on how this company was started - fly fishing and wingshooting.  As a result, shoppers may notice that other products may be reduced in the stores.

How Many Orvis Stores Are There in Minnesota?

The Land of 10,000 Lakes is the perfect place for Orvis products.  As a result of our wilderness adventures, we have multiple Orvis dealers in Minnesota.  You can find all of those located on the Orvis website.

In the Twin Cities area, we also have one Orvis store location, located at 5001 Excelsior Boulevard in Saint Louis Park.
