Easter Sunday is coming up fast on the calendar.  This year, the holiday falls on Sunday, April 5th, 2026.

List of Stores That Are Closed on Easter Sunday 2026

A new record could be set this year for the amount of money spent for Easter this year.  According to First Alert 4, we could see a total of $24.9 billion spent this year on all of the goodies for the holiday.

92% of people are buying candy for Easter, and if you are one that forgot to grab the chocolate delights for the eggs, you'll want to head to a store this week due to several stores being closed for the Easter holiday.

What Stores Are Open On Easter Sunday in 2026?

There are always going to be people who need to make a last-minute trip to the grocery store for an item that was forgotten.  It happens.  I've even been one of those moms who realized on Easter morning that my kids' dress pants were about 2 sizes too small.

According to Parade and Patch, there are a few stores that are going to stay open on Easter Sunday.  The hours might be a little different due to the holiday but some of those stores include:

• Home Depot
• Bass Pro Shops
• Cabela's
• DSW
• Ulta Beauty

Locally, HyVee stores also typically stay open.  Verify hours at your local HyVee store just to make sure before you run out for that last-minute ingredient.
