United Way of Olmsted County

Imagine going to school on the first day but NOT having a backpack or the basic supplies that are needed. That is the reality for 3,400+ students in the Olmsted County area this 2024-2025 school year.

11 schools and districts have students that still need school supplies before the first day of school, including Byron, Rochester Public and Private Schools, Chatfield, Dover-Eyota, Pine Island, and Stewartville.

The challenge starts October 4th and there is still room for you to join in!

School starts in a few weeks and there are over 1,900 students that can't afford school supplies in Olmsted County.

People in our community are struggling, now more than ever, and turning to nonprofits for help.

Rochester seems to be THE PLACE for "The Voice" singers to give free concerts. We just had Chris Kroeze, a runner up, at Thursdays Downtown and a finalist from 2018 is coming on September 12th!

Imagine a neighborhood in Rochester that didn't have enough green space for all of the kids that wanted to play. That was the reality for a neighborhood in Rochester...until now.

Local 10th graders, Kaylie Brase and Sidney Williams, decided that something needed to be done to make sure that homeless kids in our community stayed warm this winter.
