Tinn's Philly Steak Subs Returns to Rochester With A Food Truck

A bit of good news just rolled into Rochester...and for all of you foodies who are missing Tinn's, you'll love this!

Just a few months ago, Tinn's fans heard the horrible news that their location at 1219 2nd Street SW in Rochester was closed for good. If you've driven on 2nd Street at all (or attempted to), you know that getting to the businesses on this street during construction has been a challenge. Instead of seeing people inside Tinn's on 2nd street, we now see a "For Lease" sign.

Back in March, Tinn's shared the heartbreaking news on their Facebook page that they were closing...but they finished their note with a little tease...

Rochester, we’re so grateful for you. Your support has meant everything to us, and we can’t thank you enough for showing up the way you always have.

Due to the construction challenges, we made the difficult decision to close our doors for now, but this isn’t the end of our story, it’s just a pause. We gave it everything we had to keep bringing you the hot subs and fresh fries you love, but the circumstances made it impossible to operate, the timing just wasn’t right for us to continue on 2nd St.

We are and have been actively searching for a new home in Rochester that will allow us to serve you even better, we’re not giving up.

In the meantime, you can still find us at our Northfield location, and we’re always here for your catering needs. We’d love to see you there if ever you’re in the area, swing by and say hi!

Thank you again for all the love and support. We can’t wait for the day we’re back in Rochester serving this amazing community.

"This isn't goodbye, it's see you soon"...Is Coming True For Tinn's Fans In Rochester, Minnesota

Because our family loves Tinn's, I've been anxiously awaiting to hear updates about a return to the Med City. I've noticed a few pop-up spots recently where the Tinn's food truck has been serving its delicious food. But now, the truck seems to be parked in another spot.

Here's the note that Tinn's posted on Monday, June 15th:

"We are back in Rochester, MN. Our food trailer will be parked by the old Kwik Trip across from Century High School (2345 26th St NE, Rochester Mn 55906), starting today."

While it is parked at the Laitala Tile Co. parking lot, it will be open starting at 11:00 am until they are sold out. You can check out their Facebook page to see a write-up of their menu - which does have some limitations due to trailer capacity restrictions.

If you drive by and the truck isn't there, there is a good possibility that the truck is at another event that day. Watch the Tinn's Facebook page - they are pretty good at giving updates.
