It's almost a guarantee that a number of car accidents will happen on Minnesota roads during winter weather. Roads get icy, snow limits visibility, and dangerous driving conditions can happen in just a matter of minutes. One Sheriff's office in Minnesota is trying to help keep you safe and sent out a few great reminders if you are driving this weekend.

Important Winter Driving Reminders From a Sheriff's Office in Minnesota
It's still up in the air a bit how many inches of snow Minnesota is expected to get with the latest snowfall. But, we will soon know because snow has already started to fall and a good chunk of Southeast Minnesota is in a Winter Weather Advisory until 6:00 am on Saturday, February 15th.
If you do have to drive during this winter storm, please be safe. To help get you from point A to point B safely, below are a few winter driving reminders from the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office in Minnesota:
Tip #1 - Snow? Turn your headlights on.
Tip #2 - Avoid using cruise control.
Tip #3 - Leave early. Slow down. Be patient.
Tip #4 - Increase your following distance.
