Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester motorist called 911 around 4:30 Tuesday morning to report what he thought was a car-sized sinkhole on a southeast street.

Turns out the large hole in the 300 block of 20th ST SE was actually the result of a water main rupture - the second one at the site, which is near the Seneca Foods warehouse complex.

RPU spokesman Tony Benson says workers repaired a break at the site Monday and filled in the hole. Benson says the second rupture happened in the same area either Monday night or early Tuesday.

He says repairs are expected to be completed Tuesday.
