Popular Business in Southeast Minnesota Announces It Has New Owners

Having a reliable vehicle is important and last year, about 3 million cars were sold in the United States.  Unfortunately, you can't always predict when that new or "new to you" vehicle is going to be needed.  Thankfully, reliable places to buy those vehicles are nearby to help make that process easy and fast.

Zumbrota Ford, located just off of Hwy 52 in Zumbrota, Minnesota, has become a well-known name throughout Southeast Minnesota.  If you don't recognize the name right away, I'm sure you'd know who I'm talking about right away once you heard their commercial.  Yes, this is the "Dealer For The People" auto dealership that has been heard on tv and radio stations for several years.

According to a press release from Zumbrota Ford, owner Steve Johnson has made the decision to sell the dealership.

Who Is The New Owner of Zumbrota Ford in Minnesota?

A familiar name in the Zumbrota area has surfaced as the new owner of Zumbrota Ford.  Mosaic Auto Group, which acquired the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram portion from the Johnson family, will be the new owners of this dealership.

According to Lake City Graphic, Mosaic Auto Group also recently acquired Tom Heffernan Ford in Lake City, Minnesota in June 2024.

"Car shopping made easy" was stated from Mosaic Auto Group, which based on the testimonials on their social media pages, this rings true.  They are helping many individuals get the car that they need even when others have turned them away.

Why Is The Johnson Family Selling Zumbrota Ford in Minnesota?

According to the release, Steve Johnson indicated that although the current team at Zumbrota Ford has been the best, the time is right.

Steve Johnson, "The Dealer For The People", has been in the car business for 53 years, and has been immersed in the Southeast Minnesota area for 26 of those.

When Will The Sale of Zumbrota Ford Happen?

Based on the information that I received, Steve Johnson will be retiring and selling the business to Mosaic Auto Group in mid-May.
