Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A busy street in downtown Rochester is scheduled to be closed to all through traffic Tuesday.

The section of 4th St between Broadway and 3rd Ave SE in the Government Center area is scheduled to be closed as the railroad tracks near the Zumbro River bridge are replaced.

Vehicle traffic will be detoured to 2nd Street SE.

Pedestrians will also be affected by the closure. They will detoured to the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Zumbro River near the Government Center.

The closure will affect city bus routes. Mayo Clinic shuttle buses that use 4th St will also be re-routed.

The closure is expected to last 1 - 2 weeks.
