Have you noticed the brightly colored paint job on the building near Flapdoodles and Scooters on South Broadway?  A few months ago, our team announced the exciting news that Dave's Hot Chicken is moving to town!  Today, we've got another bit of news about this popular chicken spot - the opening date for the newest restaurant in the Med City!

Opening Date Announced For Dave's Hot Chicken in Rochester, Minnesota

Americans LOVE chicken!  One of the top spots to grab a great chicken sandwich has routinely been Chick-fil-A.  In the fast food world, this spot knows how to provide great customer service and for 9 years in a row, it was picked as the #1 for customer satisfaction.  Rochester got its first Chick-fil-A about seven years ago.  Opening day was HUGE, and a line of people waited outside thanks to a special promotion where the first 100 people in line won a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A meals.

Because we love Chick-fil-A so much in the Med City, a second location will be opening soon.  Construction has already started on the brand new Chick-fil-A near the Olive Garden and HOM Furniture.  But that's not the only chicken spot opening up in town...

It was announced a bit ago that Dave's Hot Chicken would be opening on South Broadway Ave.  Rumor is, an opening date has been announced!

I drove by yesterday and noticed that quite a bit of work was still being done on the inside.  But according to a Spotted in Rochester post, June 20th, 2025 is opening day for Dave's Hot Chicken in Rochester.  This date is not posted anywhere else...the location isn't even on Google or the Dave's Hot Chicken website right now.  If I hear about a different date from a more official site, I'll let you know on our app.
