Sneak Peek Of The New Dave's Hot Chicken in Rochester (PHOTOS)

If you invite me, I do my best to show up. Last week, I got an invite from Dave's Hot Chicken to check out the brand new location in Rochester before the official opening happened. Before I hopped on the radio for my show on Y-105FM, I snuck out of the studio and ventured over with Carly Ross from 106.9 KROC to get a sneak peek of the brand new restaurant in the Med City. I grabbed some photos of the inside...see those below.

If you haven't heard, on South Broadway, by Scooters and Caribou Coffee, is a brightly painted section of a building that has popped up recently. About a year ago, it was announced that Kris Humphries was helping add another location to the already 300ish in existence by opening up this new location in Rochester.

New spots for tasty chicken isn't a new thing in Rochester. A few years ago, our first Chick-fil-A opened and I remember seeing people in tents outside the night before, hoping to be one of the lucky 100 that got free food for a year. Chick-fil-A has started construction on a second location in the Med City...and personally, I'm hoping that same promotion happens again. I'd sit outside for free chicken.

If you are hoping to check out the new Dave's Hot Chicken in Rochester, here are a few things to know:

Choose Your Heat
- These range from No Spice to Reaper. If you pick Reaper, you will need to sign a waiver. And no, I'm not joking.

A "slider" in Dave's Hot Chicken world is a full sandwich. It's not an itty-bitty thing that will leave you with an empty stomach.

LOOK around! The graffiti art on the walls was created by splatterhaus and dehmq and feature some familiar sites of Rochester mixed in with the branding for Dave's Hot Chicken.

Soft Opening Announced For The New Dave's Hot Chicken in Rochester

The grand opening for the Rochester location is set for Friday, June 20th, 2025. However...I did see some info on the Instagram page for Dave's Hot Chicken that a soft opening is happening.

PS: don’t forget about the secret soft opening on 6/19 (Thursday) but don’t tell the others 😏
