Rochester Teen Robbed, Beaten
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester teenager says he was mugged in broad daylight Tuesday near the Roy Watson Youth Sports complex.
The 19-year-old says he was walking by the Summit Square Apartments in the 900 block of 41st Street NW around 12:30 p.m. when four men got out of a car with Missouri plates and approached him. The men demanded his money and the teen says after he was knocked to the ground, they began kicking and punching him. After finding no money in the teen’s pockets, the men took his cellphone and left on foot.
The victim walked to a nearby convenience store and called 911.
Officers arrived to find the car the men had been in was no longer there.
